Equestrian Center Appreciation Days Kick Off Oct. 2

The Valley Water Mill Park Equestrian Center, 4007 N. Farm Road 171, will kick off the first of its monthly Citizen Appreciation Days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2.

This horseman’s showcase will feature a full day of horse-related demos and activities, including watching the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse of Greene County training from 10 a.m. – noon. Beginning at noon, Dr. Stacey Huntington will lead a presentation on Equine First Aid, and there will also be a show jumping demonstration and a Horse Soccer scrimmage.

The event is free and open to the public. Future Citizen Appreciation Days will take place the first Saturday of each month and feature area horse professionals.
