Temporary Disruption of Lost Pet Photos

The Animal Control office of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department would like to inform community members of a disruption in the online photo display of animals in the shelter due to system maintenance on Petfinder.com. Petfinder.com has ensured Animal Control staff that they are working diligently to resolve the issues and restore display of pictures of animals being held at the animal shelter. The Springfield-Greene County Health Department Animal Control office has found working with Petfinder.com to be an invaluable tool in reuniting animal owners with their pets and look forward to the restoration of this tool. While Petfinder.com photo locating services are disrupted, community members that would like to find out if their pet has been recovered by Animal Control may visit the animal shelter located at 4002 North Farmer Avenue, Springfield, 65803. Animal shelter hours are weekdays 8:30--9:30 a.m., 12 noon—1:00 p.m., and 4—5 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 8:30 a.m.—9:30 a.m., and 3:30—4:30 p.m. For questions related to the animal shelter, please call 417-833-3592.
