Free Fitness Classes with No Obligation

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board will offer a free trial of four popular fitness programs at Chesterfield Family Center, 2511 W. Republic Road and Doling Family Center, 301 E. Talmage St.

Boot Camp

This class is a great advanced exercise experience for those needing a change of pace. The free trial class is at 6 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Chesterfield and is taught by instructor Sonya Koyama.

Body Challenge

This class is an advanced high intensity workout that will constantly stimulate and confuse all muscle groups. Free trial class is Noon, Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Chesterfield and is taught by instructor Nikki Prosser.

Total Yoga

The class is a mix of Yoga and Pilates for those who are looking to improve balance and coordination. Free trial classes are Thursday, Jan. 6, Tuesday, Feb. 8 and Thursday, March 3 at Doling and are taught by instructor Mona Alphin.


This class combines Latin music and easy-to-follow moves to create an aerobic workout. Free trial classes are Thursday, Jan. 6 and Tuesday, March 1 at Doling and are taught by instructors Becky Holcomb and Mary Beth Burr.

Each of the classes is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required and there is no obligation to sign-up for additional classes or facility membership. Membership is not required to either facility for any of the free trial classes. Gift certificates are available for sale year-round at both Chesterfield and Doling. Chesterfield now features indoor cycling classes with a virtual video projection experience.
