For Immediate Release
City Council Lunch Now Live On CityView
Springfield City Council's Tuesday lunch meetings are now airing live on CityView's cable channels and website.
The meetings take place at noon on most Tuesdays, and are often the setting where Council first hears about new initiatives or receives in-depth reports about ongoing projects and items of public concern. Occasionally, Council lunches are also set aside for an open format in order to allow Councilmembers to freely discuss issues in a public setting without a formal agenda. The City's weekly calendar and agenda for upcoming Council lunches are posted online at www.springfieldmo.gov/calendar by 5 p.m. Friday of the previous week.
Council lunches join regular City Council meetings on the slate of live programming from CityView. City Council meetings are generally held at 6:30 p.m. every other Monday at Historic City Hall. The full schedule of 2011 City Council meetings and the agenda for the upcoming meeting can be found online at www.springfieldmo.gov/citycouncil.
All City Council and Council lunch meetings are archived for viewing at any time on CityView's website. Look under the headings "City Council" (meetings) and "Tuesdays With Council" (lunches) on the CityView homepage at www.springfieldmo.gov/cityview.
CityView programming is available 24/7 on Mediacom digital channels 15.1, 80 and 80.1; on AT&T U-Verse channel 99; and streaming via the CityView homepage.
