New Signal on Primrose Begins Full Operation March 9

The new traffic signal on Primrose Street at Delaware Avenue will begin full operation starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. The signal has been in flashing operations since Feb. 26.

Changeable message signs on Primrose in advance of the new signal will notify approaching motorists that the signal is in full operation.

Final construction activities including paving, pavement striping and cleanup will continue until late March.

This signalization project was the top priority from the Bradford Park Neighborhood Assessment in April 2008 to help improve safety and accommodate increased traffic in that area. The project is funded through the 1/4-cent Sales Tax for Capital Improvements 2007-2010 program. Hartman & Company is the contractor for the project.
