Volunteers Add to Easter Activities at Farm Park

For the fourth consecutive year, a group of more than 50 volunteers from Wesley United Methodist Church will add to this weekend's Easter at the Farm activities with a stream clean up and garden planting from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16 at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park, 3825 W. Farm Road 146.

Volunteers will work in shifts from 9 a.m. – noon and 1 – 4 p.m. Each shift will be divided into two work teams. The stream clean-up team will work along Wilson's Creek, running on the north side of the property. An additional team will rework and plant demonstration-themed gardens in the Farm Park's main public area.

Easter at the Farm will take place from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16. A free Easter Egg Hunt (traditionally held at Doling Park) will take place at 1 p.m. for children 3-9 years of age. The Easter Bunny will visit from 1 – 3 p.m. Other family-oriented activities run throughout the event including arts and crafts, inflatables, pony rides, photos, face painting and yard games.
