Grant Beach Park Pool Improvements

The Grant Beach Park Pool dedication will take place at Noon, Saturday, June 4, for improvements made to its pool area and the addition of new pool play features. An open house will follow from 1 – 6:30 p.m. at Grant Beach Pool with free public entry.

The improvements include: a new splash-play structure with buckets and interactive features, immediately adjacent to the pool, which is the first of its kind in the parks system; the addition of two slides – a double tube slide and a drop slide; spray features; lap lanes; shade structures; a new spring style diving board; bath house and concession area renovations; new filtration and mechanical system; and a new fence surrounding the pool.

The renovations were made possible by the voter-approved 2006 County-wide Parks Sales Tax for outdoor pool renovations. The total renovation cost was approximately $1,233,000. The project is on budget and on time as promised. Branco Enterprises was the general contractor, Sapp Design Associates were the architects and Waters Edge Aquatic Design was the consultant for the project.
