Traffic Signal Improvements at National and Cherry

On June 1st, 2011, construction will begin on traffic signal improvements at National Avenue and Cherry Street. This project will improve the aging traffic signal infrastructure and will improve the pedestrian facilities to ADA standards.

Construction activities may impact traffic lanes at times throughout construction, however through traffic will be maintained at all times. Please use caution and drive slowly in this work zone.

This project is funded through the 2010-2013 ¼-cent Sales Tax for Capital Improvements – Traffic Signal/Traffic Calming Program. Ewing Signal Construction, LLC of Nixa will be performing the work under contract with the City of Springfield. The estimated completion date is August 2011.
