Jaydean Miller Named 'Workforce Professional of the Year'
The Ozark Region Workforce Investment Board & the Missouri Career Center would like to congratulate Mrs. Jaydean Miller, Welcome Team Lead, at the Missouri Career Center for being recognized as the Workforce Professional of the Year by the Missouri Association of Workforce Development (MAWD) during their annual conference. Mrs. Miller was selected among numerous nominations throughout the state for her contributions to workforce development and her leadership at the Ozark Region Missouri Career Centers.
An employee of the City of Springfield, Department of Workforce Development, since July 1998, Mrs. Miller has provided leadership to staff at the Springfield Career Center who serve the citizens of the Ozark Region. The Ozark Region covers the counties of Christian, Dallas, Greene, Polk, Stone, Taney, and Webster.
In addition to her supervision of staff, Mrs. Miller has been instrumental in the operation of the Mobile Career Center and serves on the Ozark Region Leadership Team for the Springfield and Branson Career Centers. She was an active liaison for the 2010 Census, has been involved in the local A+ program in area schools, and has served on various local committees and on statewide committees for the Department of Workforce Development to ensure that the services provided at all career centers are the best that can be provided.
Mrs. Miller and her husband, Dave, are the parents of two children, Katie and Brian. They are long-time residents of Springfield.
