Police Take Bicycle Training at MSU

Officers from the Springfield Police Department will be participating in a “Train the Trainer” bicycle safety course to be held at Missouri State University, this Wednesday, July 20, 2011. The course, titled “Rights and Duties: a law enforcement officer’s guide to bicycling issues” is part of the Ped-Net (Pedestrian and Pedaling Network). The course focuses on basic bicycle safety, legal studies, and real time traffic situations while riding the bicycle.
