Discover Old West at Frontier Days

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board will host its free Frontier Days from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park, 3825 W. Farm Road 146. This western celebration includes a variety of activities, games and performances.

Activities include pony rides ($3 per rider); mechanical bull rides ($2); a quick draw arcade game ($2); old time photos ($2); crafts ($1); rope making ($1); corn grinding ($1); mining for gold ($1); and much more.

There also will be several informational booths set up to allow children to hear, see and learn about life on the frontier. Booths include a visit by the Nathan Boone Homestead, Sheriff's Mounted Posse of Greene County and others. The Easy Riders Drill Team will perform trick riding at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
