SAAFhouse Celebrates One Year and 4,000 Surgeries

The SAAFhouse Spay-Neuter Clinic opened one year ago. On Sunday, August 28, the clinic will celebrate 4,000 surgeries and its first year of operation. SAAFhouse is operated by Springfield Animal Advocacy Foundation (SAAF), a nonprofit coalition of local animal welfare agencies.

On Sunday, August 28, from 2-5 pm, the public is invited to the clinic for an open house, silent auction, birthday games, prizes, and refreshments. Pets and children are welcome. The clinic is located at 1600 North Washington Avenue in Springfield.

The public is encouraged to donate any of the birthday "gifts" listed below:

SAAFhouse is the first Humane Alliance model spay/neuter clinic in the state of Missouri. During the first year of operation, the clinic has prevented the births of more than 20,000 unwanted puppies and kittens.
