Pickin' in the Park Features Bluegrass at Farm

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board will host its free Pickin’ in the Park from 4 – 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park, 3825 W. Farm Road 146. Visitors can enjoy barbeque treats, a bonfire, live bluegrass bands, hayrides and hands-on activities.

Bluegrass band Red Bridge will perform from 4 – 6 p.m.; Bluegrass band Lost Hill Band will perform from 6 – 8 p.m. The event is free for all ages, but some activities have a small fee.

Also, Fun Family Fishing will be held the same night at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park. Visitors can participate in the fishing contest to win fun prizes. Each participant will receive a photo with the first fish they catch in addition to one free drink. The cost is $5 per person (4 years and under are free). Bait and tackle provided.
