Rabies Clinic to Celebrate World Rabies Day

To celebrate World Rabies Day and provide a much needed service for area pet owners, a rabies clinic will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. The event will be managed by SAAFhouse Spay-Neuter Clinic and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department.

Please note that the location of the clinic is All Pet Supplies, 2845 West Kearney.

Pet owners encouraged to attend if they have pets needing rabies vaccinations but cannot afford the cost of a private veterinarian. The fee is $10 and must be paid in cash.

All dogs must be on leashes; cats must be in carriers.

SAAFhouse is the first Humane Alliance model spay/neuter clinic in the state of Missouri. During the first year of operation, the clinic performed 4,000 surgeries, preventing the births of more than 20,000 unwanted puppies and kittens.
