Rutledge-Wilson Offers Fall Fun Throughout October

The Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park, 3825 W Farm Road 146, offers unique ways to enjoy time at the Farm this fall season, including picking out your own pumpkin, a walk on the new Haunted Trail, or participating in family-friendly Halloween-themed activities.

Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze NOW OPEN!

Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park's corn maze and pumpkin patch is open every Friday 5–9 p.m., Saturday & Sundays noon–9 p.m. now through Oct. 30. Corn Maze admission is $2 for everyone and hayrides are $3 per rider. Pumpkin prices are: $1 for miniature pumpkins, $3 for pumpkins less than 5 lbs, $4.50 for pumpkins 5–19 lbs, and $8 for pumpkins over 20 lbs.

Haunted Trail, 5–9 p.m., October 8 – 9, 15 – 16, & 22 – 23

Walk over a quarter-mile on our possessed wooded trail, if you dare. Adult supervision is required for anyone under the age of 15. Admission is $4 and includes a hayride to and from the haunted trail.

Fun & Games Weekend, Noon–5 p.m., October 8 – 9

Come to Rutledge-Wilson Farm for a family- friendly event that promises to leave everyone smiling. In addition to the corn maze, pumpkin patch, and hayrides, families can enjoy a variety of activities designed for all ages. Activities include pony rides for $3; hayrides for $3; obstacle course for $2; bounce house for $1; make your own scarecrow for $7; pumpkin slingshot for $2; face-painting for $1-$3, and a fishing contest for $3. Catch 3 fish and win a prize! There will also be free milking demonstrations presented by Southwest Dairy Farmers.

Bluegrass & BBQ, Noon–5 p.m., October 15 – 16

Celebrate the fall weather at the farm. There will be live bluegrass music provided by Myers Band on Saturday, noon – 3 p.m. and Red Bridge Band on Sunday, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. In addition to bluegrass & BBQ, JAG will be holding a lawn tractor pull Saturday only and EDGE-TA will be displaying and demonstrating their antique tractors and steam engines. There will also be a trampoline bungee for $3, Quick Draw arcade game for $1, bounce house for $1, hayrides for $3, and pumpkin slingshot for $2.

Fall Fun Fest, Noon–7 p.m., October 22 – 23

Don't miss your chance to pick your own pumpkin this fall. After visiting the pumpkin patch, enjoy free farming demonstrations including: Mule Drawn Plowing, Horse Shoeing, & Dog Herding. Other activities include hayrides for $3, bounce house for $1, obstacle course for $2, pumpkin slingshot for $2, and a chance to meet the Rutledge-Wilson farm animals. Beginning at 5 p.m. kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and join in a family-friendly Halloween event. Admission is $1 per child or a bag of individually-wrapped candy that will be donated to the Park Board's Accessible Program. Activities include arts and crafts projects, Halloween games, and a hayride. This event is designed for families with children 12 years and under.
