Highway Patrol Assists in Ibarra Investigation

On Monday, after reviewing all the related police reports, and due to the seriousness of the allegations, as well as the fact that Mr. Ibarra is a local elected official, Chief Williams requested assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) in order to ensure an unbiased review of the facts as the investigation progresses.

On Tuesday, the request was granted and an investigator from the MSHP was assigned to the investigation. He was thoroughly briefed by the police department's primary investigator and given access to the entire case.

The SPD will continue to work in partnership with the MSHP throughout the investigation and eventual submission of the case to the Greene County Prosecutor's office for review.
