Ideas Sought for College Street Corridor

The second public planning meeting for the College Street Corridor, an area located along College and Olive Streets, between Grant Avenue and Kansas Expressway, will take place tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of Butler, Rosenbury and Partners, 319 N. Main Ave.

The planning process is being coordinated by the City of Springfield Department of Planning and Development, but relies heavily on public engagement for proposals to revitalize the area. Public engagement will occur through April 11, and the plan is scheduled for completion during the summer.

Another way citizens can get involved in the planning process is to join the College Street Corridor Google Group. More information is also available online at www.springfieldmo.gov/collegestreet. Requests for additional information may be directed to the City Department of Planning and Development at 864-1031.

For more information, contact Cora Scott, Director of Public Information and Civic Engagement, at 417-864-1009.
