Civilian Promotion Recognition

Police Chief Williams will recognize several non-sworn Springfield Police employees in the Council Chambers at the Historic City Hall on Thursday, February 16, at 3:30. Those personnel, who were promoted in the last 6 months of 2011, are Trudy Powell, Veronica Zeigler, and Kevin Johnson.

Kevin Johnson was originally hired in August 1991 and worked as a computer technician until 2008 and as a Crime Analyst from 2008 – April 2011. Johnson was promoted to Network Technician in July 2011.

Veronica Zeigler was originally hired in December of 2008 and began working for SPD as an Investigative Services Specialist in the Criminal Investigations Division. Zeigler was promoted to a Crime Research Analyst with the Crime Analysis Unit in December of 2011.

Trudy Powell was originally hired in September of 1984 as a records employee with the City until 1999. Powell was re-hired with the city in Oct of 2007 as a part time data entry clerk and was promoted to full time Crime Research Analyst with the Crime Analysis Unit in December of 2011.
