For Immediate Release
Lone Pine Section to Close for Sewer Installation
Lone Pine Avenue, from south of the City of Springfield Recycling Center (south of Battlefield) to 3301 S. Lone Pine, will be closed beginning Monday, April 9. The City of Springfield Department of Public Works will install 500 feet of new sanitary sewer lines, which will take approximately 60 days. This will provide public sanitary sewer service to properties along the west side of Lone Pine, removing them from septic tanks, therefore creating a cleaner environment in the Sequiota Area. A detour will be marked on Battlefield, Luster Ave and Galloway Street. Message boards are placed near the site now.

Sequiota Park and Galloway Creek Greenway will remain open.
