Second Annual "Earth on Your Plate" April 17
Several Springfield restaurants have joined together to celebrate Earth Day with "Earth on Your Plate," an annual fundraiser benefitting the local environment Tuesday, April 17.
Select restaurants are donating 10 percent of total sales that day to environmental organizations Ozark Greenways, James River Basin Partnership and the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks. The Community Foundation of the Ozarks has agreed to match this contribution up to $5,000.
"This is a fun and delicious way preserve greenspace in Springfield and Greene County and protect our region's water supply," said Terry Whaley, Executive Director for Ozarks Greenways.
Participating restaurants include:
- Panera Bread Co., all five locations - breakfast 6-9 a.m.,
- Skinny Slim's
- Incredible Pizza - evening
- Bambino's - evening
- MaMa Jean's, both locations - lunch
- Farmers Gastropub - evening
- Millwood Golf and Racquet Club (Mikayla's)
- Pasta Express - evening
- Grad School
- Metropolitan Grill
- Houlihan's, both locations - evening
