College Street Corridor Plan Ready for Review

The City of Springfield will present a proposed plan for the College Street Corridor (between Kansas Expressway and Grant Avenue) at an open house, 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012. The plans will be shared in the tasting room at Mother's Brewery, located on College Street at Grant Avenue.

Plan information will be displayed and staff will be on hand to discuss and accept comments on the document.

The City's Department of Planning and Development gathered extensive public input at eight public meetings, and in an on-line discussion group, before producing recommendations for the draft plan, which is viewable at www.springfieldmo.gov/collegestreet.

Following the open house, the plan will be displayed at Park Central Square, during the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival Aug. 11, 2012. Visitors will also be able to provide more comments and feedback at this event.
