Man Charged in Recent Homicide

Jarrod P. Sirois, 39, of Springfield, has been charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection with a homicide that occurred at 2824 W. Latoka.

On 07/6/2012, Springfield Police Department officers responded to 2824 W. Latoka in response to a deceased person. Officers arrived at the residence and found a deceased male, identified as Robert W. Pugh, with severe injuries to his head. During the course of the investigation, witnesses reported that Sirois, was seen fleeing from the area. Further investigation revealed that Sirois was Pugh’s roommate at the residence.

Officers later located Sirois and interviewed him at SPD Headquarters. He was arrested and booked into the Greene County jail for the murder of Pugh. Detectives presented their case against Sirois to the Greene County prosecutor earlier today. The Prosecutor’s Office charged Sirois with 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action.
