Help Clean Up Sac River Mountain Bike Trail

Ozark Greenways is co-hosting a volunteer workday with the local Midwest Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) this Saturday, July 21, 7:30-11 a.m., to spruce up a few things at the Sac River Mountain Bike Trail. This will include tree trimming, brush clearing and painting of the new trailhead pavilion. If possible, volunteers should bring tools including limb loppers, limb saws, chainsaws and weed trimmers, as well as drinking water, work gloves and appropriate work shoes and attire.

Directions: Meet at the Sac River Mountain Bike Trailhead, which is a westbound turn off Highway 13, three miles north of I-44. Watch for the brown highway sign marking the westbound turn onto an un-named road that leads to the Northwest SewageTreatment Plant. The trailhead is on the north side of the road before reaching the plant.

In case of a cancellation due to weather, call 864-2015 for a recorded message by 7AM that morning.
