New Regional Police, Fire Training Center to Open Tuesday

The Springfield Regional Police & Fire Training Center will provide modern training facilities for the City of Springfield's police and fire departments and is accessible to public safety departments around the region. The project is funded by city-issued bonds, paid by 2004 level property taxes.
The training center includes six multipurpose classrooms and a computer lab equipped with the latest technology, weight room, locker rooms, and a two-story situational training room with an elevated catwalk for instructor observation.
