The City of Springfield and Missouri State University will cut a ribbon Thursday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m. to officially dedicate the newly signalized intersection of National Avenue and Monroe Street. This project was needed to accommodate increased traffic volumes coming and going from Missouri State University campus on Monroe Street, and to provide pedestrian crossing facilities across National. Hartman & Company of Springfield performed the work at this intersection, under contract with the City.

Parking for the dedication will be available at the lot at the corner of National Avenue and Harrison Street.
