National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars to Play MSU

The National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) All-Star team tour stops in Springfield Sunday, Sept. 23, for an exhibition game and softball clinic at Killian Softball Stadium.

The NPF All-Star team plays the Missouri State University Softball team at 1 p.m. Following the game, both teams will hold a two-hour softball clinic for girls of all ages at Killian.

The NPF, formerly the Women’s Pro Softball League, is comprised of four teams which showcase the top talent in fastpitch softball, provide family entertainment and serve as positive role models for young people.

The Sept. 23 game is one of eight scheduled fall exhibition games for Missouri State’s Softball team, which plays all home games at Killian Softball Stadium. Admission to the game is $5. Tickets may be purchased through the Killian Sport Complex at (417) 837-5817 or the MSU Softball office at (417) 836-6892.

The postgame clinic is open to all ages and registration is $30, which includes a ticket to the game. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment. Registration deadline is Sept. 17. To register, call (417) 836-6892 or fill out and return the registration form found at parkboard.org.

The exhibition game and clinic are made possible through Missouri State University, the Springfield Amateur Softball Association and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board.
