Dress Warmly for City Council Meeting
Citizens planning to attend the City Council meeting Monday night at 6:30 p.m. are advised to dress warm. Work continues on Historic City Hall's HVAC system, so the building will not have heat tomorrow.
A couple of items on the agenda:
- Council will consider an ordinance containing amendments to a current zoning ordinance regarding the operation and location of emergency and overnight shelters.
- An ordinance to amend the Public Works department budget for appropriation of an estimated $17 million in proceeds from the 1/8 centtransportation sales tax approved by citizens by an 80% majority vote Aug. 7. Monies will be used to fund high-priority transportation improvements, in partnership with the MissouriDepartment of Transportation (MoDOT) and Greene County. The estimated $17 million will be used to leverage approximately $28 million in county, state, federal and developer funding.
