Residential Burglary Suspect Caught

On 10/09/12 a residential burglary at 2457 E. Barataria was reported to the Springfield Police Department where a rear window was broken out of the home in order for the suspect to gain entry. The suspect was seen leaving the residence and a description of his vehicle along with a license plate was given to responding officers. SPD patrol officers were able to locate the vehicle yesterday morning and the suspect, Dallas C Stottle (w/m 12/12/85) was arrested for second degree residential burglary. The Greene County Prosecutor's Office has filed charges on Stottle for the burglary and he is currently in the Greene County Jail on a $20,000.00 bond.

Regardless of how trivial a crime may seem, the SPD would like to remind citizens to report it to the SPD as detectives are limited in their ability to investigate a crime with little or no information.

The charge announced herein is merely an accusation and the arrested is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
