Public Meeting Today: Potential Railroad Crossing Upgrade
The City of Springfield Public Works department is inviting members of the community to a public meeting 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, to discuss potential street-railroad grade crossing improvements in the neighborhood near Calhoun and Webster streets.
The City is working with BNSF Railway and MoDOT to improve train and vehicle/pedestrian interactions.
- Calhoun Street - Install lights and gates at the street-railroad grade crossing and add sidewalk pedestrian crossing.
- Webster Street - Close at the street-railroad grade crossing.
The meeting will take place at 1216 W. Nichols St., Building G.
