Commercial in north Springfield. Her father left her, and a four-year-old boy, in a 2002 gray Nissan Maxima outside a grocery store. The keys were in the vehicle. The suspect is a white woman with blond hair, no relation to the child. She was seen taking the vehicle by the father. The license number for the stolen Maxima is Missouri license: YG6K5R. The boy was later dropped off in the 800 block of South Newton Avenue and was recovered by police and has been reunited with his father.

"All we can really add at this point is that the search for the missing child and the vehicle continues and detectives are following up on calls we have received," said Lt. Tad Peters of the SPD Criminal Investigation Services Division. "We continue to ask for anyone with information on this case, or anyone who has seen the vehicle, to call immediately."
