Forsyth Woman Dies as Result of Vehicle Crash
A Forsyth woman has died following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident April 4 at 1717 E. Primrose. Mollie S. Poindexter, age 64, was a passenger in 2000 Lexus RX300 driven by 72-year-old Sharon K. Bishop-Frandsen (also of Forsyth) when, according to witnesses at the scene, the vehicle was westbound in the Target parking lot, at what appeared to be a high rate of speed.
The vehicle left the parking area, where it impacted into the side of the apartment building, at apartment A102. The apartment was occupied by a 30-year-old tenant who sustained minor injuries and was treated and released.
Bishop-Frandsen and Poindexter were both transported to a local hospital, where Poindexter later died as a result of her injuries from the crash. Bishop-Frandsen is currently listed in stable condition. Next of kin have been notified.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is on-going.
