Zoo free for moms on Mother's Day
Let your imagination run wild this Mother's Day, and enjoy a day at the zoo with Mom. All mothers receive free admission to Dickerson Park Zoo on Sunday, May 12. The first 500 mothers will receive a free bedding plant.
Along with the animal exhibits, Dickerson Park Zoo provides a variety of fun-filled activities for all ages. Families can purchase $2 per person tickets for a train ride on the Titus Express (children age one and younger ride free). Visit the Outback Corral petting zoo (feed is 50¢ for a handful), and feed the giraffes at the elevated deck during designated feeding times ($2 for a package of crackers).
Dickerson Park Zoo is open throughout the summer, daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., regardless of the weather. Admission fees are $9 for adults and teens and $6 for children ages 3-12 and seniors 60 and older. Admission for children age 2 and younger and DPZ Friends of the Zoo members is free.
