Family Scramble Adventure Race Saturday, June 15

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board hosts the annual Family Scramble Saturday, June 15, 8 a.m., at Ritter Springs Park, 3683 W Farm Road 92, Springfield.

The event involves either a two-person team (one adult and one youth) or a three- or four-person team (no more than two adults) which will participate in an Amazing Race-style competition. Kids must be age 7 or older to participate.

Teams will race against the clock and other participants to complete a series of challenges, including puzzles, physical games, trivia and technology-based activities.

Check-in opens at 7 a.m., and the race begins at 8 a.m. The race takes one to three hours to complete. Competitors are divided by age, with ages 7-12 one group and ages 13-17 in the other.

Participants should bring their own water, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellent, a change of clothes, close-toed shoes and a backpack.

Registration is required by June 9. Until June 1, registration is $30 per two-person team, and additional $10 per additional member. June 2-9, the registration is $40 per team of two and $10 per additional member.  Registration includes T-shirts for competitors and trophies for winners in each age group.
