Kelly Frech homicide investigation closed

The investigation into the death of Kelly Frech has been completed and reviewed by the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office. No charges will be filed in the case because the suspect is deceased.

On July 5, 2012, the body of Kelly Frech was found in a trash can in the back yard of a residence located at 1231 West Edgewood Street in Springfield. The discovery occurred in relation to the follow-up investigation of an officer involved shooting in Marionville, Mo. on June 30, 2012, in which Adam Bergseth was killed.

The investigation conducted by detectives with the Springfield Police Department indicated that Adam Bergseth was responsible for the death of Kelly Frech. The investigative reports were presented to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office for review. The Greene County Prosecutor’s Office has completed the review of the investigation and agrees that Adam Bergseth was responsible for Kelly Frech’s death. No further action will be taken since Adam Bergseth is deceased.
