For Immediate Release
Gift of Time Awards is June 13
The City of Springfield and Council of Churches of the Ozarks will host its annual Gift of Time Awards Luncheon at noon, Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Ramada Inn Oasis Convention Center.
The Gift of Time Awards has the distinction of being the original volunteer recognition event in the Ozarks. It began in 1991, and has recognized hundreds of volunteers since its inception. These volunteers have given their all to contribute thousands of hours of labor, and love, to make this community a much better place.
All nominees for the award will be recognized for their volunteer efforts during the Gift of Time Luncheon and ten of the nominees have been selected by the judges to be given the title "Volunteer of the Year."
Award recipients will have their portrait displayed on the Rosanna Bradshaw Memorial Wall of Fame in the Busch Municipal Building throughout the coming year. Bradshaw, the Wall of Fame's namesake, was an active volunteer in the Ozarks for many years and helped to create the Gift of Time program.
The Gift of Time is hosted by: City of Springfield and the Council of Churches of the Ozarks. The presenting sponsors are the Musgrave Foundation and Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Other partners include: 417 Magazine; B & E Printing; Dan Emrie Photography; and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
