Military Appreciation Day at Dickerson Park Zoo
Dickerson Park Zoo will offer its first Military Appreciation Day on Sunday, July 7, with free zoo admission for active military personnel and their immediate family members (with military ID).
At Dickerson Park Zoo, there is plenty to do. In addition to the giraffe herd, popular animals include the hippopotamus, lions, flamingos, Asian elephants, spider monkeys and the Diversity of Life building – home to reptiles and amphibians!
Admission hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The Titus Express train operates from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; tickets are $2 per person for everyone age 2 and older. Food and drinks are available at the Bush Country Café from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The giraffe deck is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; giraffe feed is $2.
