Celebrate Halloween with Springfield Art Museum's 'Trick-Art-Treat'

Ozarks families are invited to celebrate Halloween 3-5 p.m., Oct. 31 at the Springfield Art Museum with a variety of fun (and FREE!) activities.

The museum will offer a performance by MSU's Inertia Dance Company, Vincent Van GOAT (an interactive sculpture that shares Ozarks artists' stories), shadow puppetry, make-your-own spooky sound effects, artist-carved pumpkins for sale, a costume contest, 3-D mask making and other arts and crafts, games, a scavenger hunt, face painting and balloon creations.

Admission to the Springfield Art Museum is free. The Springfield Art Museum is located at 1111 E. Brookside Drive. For more information, call 417-837-5700 or visit www.springfieldmo.gov/art. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Thursdays; 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays; and 1-5 p.m., Sundays. The museum is closed on Mondays and on national holidays.
