Suspect charged in Statutory Sodomy case

At 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 12, officers responded to a Springfield residence in reference to a report of child molestation. The Springfield Police Department located the suspect, Allen L. McFail, 51, of Springfield, and after being interviewed by detectives that day, he was arrested and booked into Greene County Jail. According to the investigation reports, McFail had been found molesting his 6-year-old daughter just before the report was made.

The case was presented to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Six counts of 1st Degree Statutory Sodomy, one count of 1st Degree Child Molestation, and one count of Sexual Misconduct were filed against McFail, with a bond of $75,000. The charges announced herein are merely an accusation, and McFail is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
