The City of Springfield offers challenging employment opportunities to people interested in careers in public service at the municipal level. Positions are periodically available and offer qualified applicants a variety of opportunities to develop careers in their areas of interest.

Community-wide Job Openings

Through the Missouri Job Center-Ozarks Region, the City’s Department of Workforce Development offers a variety of services – all of which are free – for dislocated workers, job hunters and employers in Polk, Dallas, Greene, Webster, Christian, Stone and Taney counties.

The center assists workers as they transition to new jobs and is responsible for ensuring that participants meet basic eligibility requirements, such as completing a two-week job readiness workshop.
