Good news! The City of Springfield is implementing a new and improved online application system!
On Monday, Aug. 7, the City will replace iRecruitment with a new online application system for managing its employment applications.
What does this mean for you?
1. The City is taking steps to improve its online application experience. The new system is user-friendly and mobile-friendly! Applying and navigating will be simpler!
2. The new online application system (hosted by NEOGOV) is entirely separate from the current iRecruitment system. Your profile information, work history, resume, transcripts, certifications, etc., WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFER to the new system. If you want or need to save any of this information for future use, please do so by Aug. 6. THIS INFORMATION WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE VIA iRECRUITMENT AFTER AUG. 6.
3. Applicants who may have applied for a vacancy in our current application system do not need to reapply for the exact same position in the new system.
4. Beginning Aug. 7, all online applications for job opportunities (internal or external) will be received and processed via the new online application system. We believe you will find the new system more streamlined and easier to navigate!
