The Springfield Police Department would like to invite anyone who is interested in becoming a Springfield Police Officer to attend an upcoming informational seminar. The seminar will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21st, at the Springfield Regional Police and Fire Training Center, 2620 W. Battlefield Road.
SPD is always accepting applications for both new and experienced officers and is in a continuous hiring process. Those who attend the informational session will learn what to expect when applying to become an officer with SPD, including details about the entire testing process (the physical agility test, written examination, oral interview, background investigation and post-offer exam). It is not mandatory that an applicant attend, but information given during the seminar may prove helpful to them during the testing process.
When attending the informational session, please arrive early to the front doors of SPD's South District Station. Doors will be locked at 6 p.m. Also, please make plans to attend for about an hour and a half. Spouses are welcome!
Applications should be submitted here. Additional dates for testing will be added to the SPD’s website throughout the year. For more information, contact Officer Brandon Keene at 417-864-1796 or BKeene@springfieldmo.gov.
