"Beckey Hughes-Lundholm was born on July 7, 1953 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to the late Louise Hughes and Bob Hughes. She is survived by her father, Bob Hughes, Brownsville, TX; her children, Angela Hughes, Republic, MO; Lance Williams and wife Helen, Springfield MO; Nicholas Williams and wife Samantha, Monett, MO and eight beautiful grandchildren.
Beckey was not only a wife, mom, daughter grandmother, sister, and friend, but also a caregiver to those who needed her. She had a great faith and loved being a grandma most of all.
One of the things that always stood out about her the most is that no matter how little she had, she always had a special gift for someone on a special occasion. It might be their favorite baked good, a nice note in a card, or something homemade from the heart, she always made an effort!
I don't think that she would have said this about herself, but in her younger years, I would consider her an artist. She was creative and loved to draw. She never used that talent in the way of a career. I'm sure that never crossed her mind, but she had a great eye and did many drawings/ paintings for us as kids... t-shirts, bedroom walls, you name it, she could look at something and recreate it for us. We also probably came home to a new change in our bedrooms or somewhere in the house almost weekly as she was always rearranging and decorating. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom and will be loved forever and greatly missed."
