Jerry Jezik, Survey Chief, Public Works

Jerry has worked for the City since 2018.

What have you learned since working at the City?

The value of teamwork and communication! When all departments can communicate clearly and work together, WE can serve our community with the highest standards and make it a better place to live!

How does your position impact the community?

By establishing the right-of-way for the City and property owners, the City can build new sidewalks, improve intersections and roads, trim the appropriate trees along property lines and write new easements while maintaining existing ones. By performing design surveys for engineers and architects, this gives these professionals the field data that they require so that they may design and build new streets, bridges and trails for the City.

If you could switch your job with anyone else, whose would you want?

Nobody’s job but my own! I love my job! I was in the private sector for 17 years and after serving my community for the short time that I have, I really feel like I have found my place here with the City!
