Springfield-Greene County Health Department (SGCHD) offers internship opportunities for students interested in public health. Students can learn new skills and better their understanding of public health by working on current problems with experienced public health professionals and leaders.
Projects may involve data collection, data analysis, research, policy analysis, program planning, community outreach and health education. These opportunities may assist students in fulfilling field placement and service-learning requirements.
Program Goals
- To orient students to the principles and practices of public health planning, policy, research, and evaluation
- To broaden students' concept of public health by increasing their awareness of the needs, challenges and career opportunities in the field of public health
- To assist the SGCHD in recruiting skilled, professional candidates with proven potential
Eligibility
The program is open to students, from all academic disciplines, enrolled at an accredited college or university. For full consideration, interested students must submit an application by Friday, May 26, 2023.
