COVID-19 Community Impact

The CDC Community Level tool measures the impact COVID-19 is currently having on the population on a county-by-county basis.  Impact level is measured using three indicators of community disease prevalence:

  • New COVID-19 cases in the last 7 days*
  • New COVID-19 hospital admissions in the last 7 days*
  • Percent of inpatient hospital beds occupied by a COVID-19 patient

*per 100,000

Greene County is currently in the LOW impact level.

Impact Level falls into 3 categories. Each category determines prevention strategies.

While disease impact is low in the community, it could quickly change in the presence of a new variant or outbreak of COVID-19. The Health Department continues to monitor disease prevalence and is committed to educating and guiding the community to keep themselves safe from COVID-19 into the future.
