Lanterns can easily be crafted by common items found at home: Cardboard, tissue paper, milk jugs, empty plastic jars and more! But please be sure to avoid using glass.
To illuminate, simply use small LED light or glow stick!
New this year: LANTERN WORKSHOP
On Friday October 6th at 4:30pm, kids are invited to the Springfield Art Museum to make lanterns from trash!
We will be upcycling soda bottles into beautiful lanterns. This program is made possible with help of the Springfield Art Museum, Springfield Environmental Services and SGF Yields. No sign up required and the workshop ends promptly at 6:00pm.
