Please join the Springfield Fire Department for a demolition ceremony for the old Fire Station 7 at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at 2129 E. Sunshine. Parking will be available in the Viking Apartments lot directly north of the station. From Sunshine Street, turn north onto Luster Avenue, then take the second left into the Viking Apartments parking lot.
Fire Station 7 was built in 1958 and has long exceeded its usefulness. Once demolished, construction will begin for the new Fire Station 7.
