The Citizens’ Advisory Committee for Community Development (CACCD) will hold a public hearing on amendments to the City’s Citizen Participation Plan at 6 p.m. May 23 in the 2nd Floor West Conference Room of the Busch Municipal Building, 840 Boonville Ave.
The CPP sets forth the City of Springfield’s policies and procedures for encouraging citizen participation in the development of the City’s Consolidated Plan, the Annual Action Plan (AAP), the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), and any substantial amendments to these planning documents. All of these planning documents are required by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) as a part of the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) programs.
A copy of the draft Citizen Participation Plan (CPP) is available for public review and comment through 5 p.m. June 5 during regular business hours in the offices of the Planning and Development Department, 2nd Floor, Busch Municipal Building; any of the branches of the Springfield-Greene County Library located within the city limits of Springfield; or via the City’s website. City Council will hold an advertised public hearing prior to the adoption of the amended CPP sometime after the public review and comment period concludes June 5.
