Springfield City Council will hear an update on the Renew Jordan Creek project at noon today during the regular City Council Lunch Workshop held in the Councilman Denny Whayne Conference Room in the Busch Municipal Building (840 N. Boonville Avenue).
City stormwater engineers and design consultant Olsson will unveil new project renderings and discuss an anticipated construction schedule and funding plan.
Renew Jordan Creek is a project to “daylight” or uncover 1,100 feet of Jordan Creek and build several bridges in downtown Springfield. The phase one project area consists of two large blocks in the urbanized center of Jordan Valley Park, bordered on the east by Boonville Avenue, Water Street and the railway on the south, Main Avenue on the west, and Mill Street on the north.
