Walnut Street to close at the MNA railroad crossing west of Kansas Expressway Aug.14-21

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Walnut Street will close at the Missouri & Northern Arkansas (MNA) railroad crossing west of Kansas Expressway beginning 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, through Monday, Aug. 21, weather permitting.  The work will facilitate the replacement of the existing railroad crossing and roadway surfaces.  Drivers are advised to use an alternate route.

This project has been accelerated through a cost-share partnership between the City of Springfield and the MNA Railway Company, with the City's portion provided through the 1/8-cent Transportation Sales Tax.
